GH on tour in WA

1/ Thanks to everyone who’s followed our odyssey in the west. We’ve had a lot of correspondence, especially about the Worst Night on Tour Ever. Like The Giant Rat of Sumatra, it is a story for which the world is not yet prepared. Importantly, though, we learned a variation on Chekhov’s Gun: walk into a restaurant featuring a baby grand, and the chances are that someone’s going to play it at some point in the evening. Here’s the moment that Pete, hearing the opening to an improbably jaunty ‘Behind Closed Doors’, realised the direction the evening was about to take.
