What a curious, contorting, confounding and utterly compelling Test match that has stretched itself across four days at the Gabba.
Surely it’s been more than four? Surely we’ve been here for half a life time, sitting through seasons of rain, rising from our seats somewhere back in the mists of time for the sensation that was Travis Head’s - and the emotion of Steve Smith’s - innings. Trudging off and walking back on. Over and over. It seems like a month back that we sympathised with Jasprit Bumrah as he took six wickets in a solo effort, celebrated Mitchell Starc when he got Yashasvi Jaiswal with his first ball.
