A World Test Championship of two divisions? There are, of course, effectively two divisions already. For a decade and more, in financial terms, there has been international cricket involving India, and international cricket not involving India, the former vastly more valuable, and self-interestedly hogged by Australia and England. To compensate for this remorseless asset stripping of bilateral cricket, we have a calendar now overstuffed with global events, because these are the only way for the other members of the International Cricket Council to keep up even remotely.
