On the night of his famous World Cup double hundred miracle against Afghanistan, I had gone to bed, thinking Aussies were done. Early in the morning, my son came into my room & woke me up telling me I had to go downstairs and watch. I groggily turned on the TV and saw without any doubt the best ODI innings ever by Glenn.
I watched it with my son, on the sofa, cheering and yelping with him.
It will forever be a great & treasured memory that I shared with my son. This goes beyond cricket.
I really hope Maxy gets to see this comment.

Gideon,
Thank you for the insight into the mindset of one the most admired sports person in the country.
You’ve obviously got a great relationship with him and others in the cricket world and that’s worth
acknowledging, well done and keep up the good work. All the best.
