Is it possible to be a rusted on fan after just 12 months? Dunno, but I do enjoy your reports, musings and laid back podcasts. And I like the fact that you blokes often respond directly to us “great unwashed” when we make comments from the cheap seats.
The best cricket writer together with the best cricket reporter in the country -- which is to say, the world -- in a bromance for the ages. On the road again indeed (Canned Heat version, natch). Freeing you two is the only thing that's ever made me feel any appreciation for your former employers, even if they did it out of meanness, which is only to be expected.
Congratulations and thanks. Living in England, I enjoy all your reports and podcasts about Australian cricket, as well as the additional items, such as Pete on The Cure, a band I've always loved.
About the only thing I missed when I unplugged from the Newscorp sewer (incl Foxtel) was your cricket coverage. Really happy to be able to support quality analysis and writing. Let the “et al” media empire grow!
Congratulations guys and happy to be a part of this! Was a bit concerned we would not see as much of you guys are leaving the Australian but it’s turned into such a wonderful thing. Keep up the great work and enjoy the Tests
I love it. This (and podcasts) is my main source of information about cricket now. It’s great that fans can get great writing straight from the source, unmediated by newspaper proprietors. And if the writers can make a living from it then it’s a win-win.
I’m loving it. Congratulations. And I appreciate reading and contributing to sensible cricket comments here at Et Al, while carrying on unrestrained on the TGC chat room! A nice balance.
Congratulations on the 1st anniversary.
Cricket et al is the best thing to happen for Aussie cricket fans for a very long time!
Long May it reign!!
Love your work Gideon, Pete and Sam.. and everyone else who contributes.
Tremendous to have the podcast back too and the random musings are always entertaining.
Gideon and Peter are two of the few people I would work as an unpaid camera operator for, and a higher compliment I cannot give.
You did a great job, Clint. We'll never forget it.
Really enjoying the cricket and music writing. Any thoughts about setting up Spotify play lists for your top 10s?
Came for the cricket, love the et al. Happy anniversary
Great writing. Sleep deprivation in the Antipodes, watching nz v eng and then aus v India. Hardly any time for sex, drugs & rock'n roll
Congratulations! Entertainment and information in the same written words. Bliss!

Thanks Gid & Pete for the past 12 months of musing...long may it continue ....

I’ve got so much enjoyment out of the last year of content; long may it continue

A couple of days late but happy anniversary to the best cricketing substack by a man named Gideon!
Love your work mate!
