Happy to support. There appears to be no constraints to your writing, no editorial policies to be adhered to and no dumb and provocative headlines, as often seems to be the case with regular newspaper columnists. The quality and frequency of your reports is well worth the subscription. Good luck with it.
Whilst I am not a huge fan of the game, I would always read Gideon and Peters articles in the Oz being so well written, erudite and humorous. So now it's more the et al I have subscribed for and in support of course of real journalism, which remains at risk. Great work gents.
This is a high quality media platform with breaking news stories as well as informative and interesting news articles. What appeals to me the most is the honest and forthright manner in which articles are delivered. Such a pleasant surprise to read articles written with no constraints. Integrity of the highest order. Jump on board.
Thanks David. Ps I love your surname. If you have a daughter please name her Tallulah (I toyed with calling our first born Tallulah Lalor but dogged it and went for Lucy instead).
It turns out that my main philanthropic expense involves the support of political refugees from the carcass of the putrid, climate-change-denying "newspaper" known as The Australian. Along with your excellent writings, and beautifully meandering podcastings, I find myself subrscribing to your fellow escapees, the wonderful Rick Moreton and the intrepid Anthony Klan. A fantastic combination of actual journalism and beautiful, occasionally whimsical, writing. To say nothing of Gideon's regular efforts to improve my vocabulary ("condign" - who knew?).
I must also confess that, to a certain extent, it does help to somewhat assuage my (ex-Catholic) guilt around the fact that I continue to contribute to Rupert's evil empire by way of my Foxtel subscription, without which my ability to follow cricket would be greatly reduced.
In any event, I've been happy to hear the call, and upgraded my $10/mth subscription to a frontloaded $240 pa . Money very well spent! Thank you all!
Hell Jeremy that is above and beyond. Thanks. Yours in Catholic guilt, Peter. I also back Kran and will get onto Rick. Michael West is another excellent refugee out there ploughing his own field.
The cost of the subscription is meagre, compared to the great content that is being delivered, and the podcast is enjoyable on my morning and arvo commute. I particularly liked Gideon and his memories of Craig Serjeant and his test career - I was around 10-11 years old then and remember him making that ton in the West Indies and the cricket report on ABC Radio that following morning! the write up of the trip to the Murtoa and the stick shed - brilliant. Keep it up gents. And anytime Pete talks music is great.
Love the content you put out. Informative , entertaining, a great read. You are certainly expanding my knowledge in not just cricket. Am delighted to support your endeavors and will continue to do so. My only problem is you are far too prolific. l frequently have trouble keeping abreast . Lesley Smith
I worry that we inundate people, but you don't have to read it all I guess. That said, I reckon we'll be putting out more when the Tests come around. Apologies but we don't know when to stop.
The etc pods certainly brought a bit of warmth as well as wisdom to this expat on a good few damp English mornings last northern winter. Glad to have been on board for a while and very much looking forward to what the coming winter will bring. Good luck and may that number keep on ticking upwards
Paid subscription as of today. I’ve given up on the traditional newspapers, so this will be my only source of cricket journalism for the summer - best of luck to the writers, and bring it on India!!
Peter, I feel like you have set a challenge for us and I hope we rise to it. We may not be able to cover everything but we are going to do the best to give you as complete coverage of Test cricket that we can.

Thanks Hector, journalists are an endangered species these days, we need support and safe spaces to ward off our extinction.
Refreshing, unbridled commentary which is thought provoking, funny and ground breaking.
Shut up and take my money!
Looking forward to the summer gentleman.

I knew there had to be one other Serjeant fan out there. I have to get you and Gideon together ...

Of course we have to read it all. We don’t want to miss anything. Keep going!!! Lesley
Not surprised to hear the 1,000 subscriber milestone has been reached. Quality and genuine commitment usually get recognised and supported!
Looking forward to the coverage of the Border-Gavaskar Series!
Thanks Kev, I'm about as excited as a kid before Xmas. Only XX more sleeps ...
A pleasure to be on board from the get go.
OG subscribers are a special crew. Ta
