The AFL and their media industrial complex wants - and has, for some time - to dominate all but four weeks of the year; the spring racing carnival (primarily because the industry is busy at the races at that time) and two weeks around Christmas and New Year when they're all on holiday
People would be more interested in the Shield if, as per this last round, the stars of the game played in it but it would also help if CA actually did promote their product with a little more vigour
Not really - we don't know if he is good enough to be opening the batting against a world class attack, purely because he's played half a dozen Shield games and this is primarily owing to the fact that he is 19. He can't be picked for the first Test, as much as I would love to see it (also a New South Welshman)
I can't think of too many 19 year olds who have opened the batting for Australia after half a dozen FC matches, Renshaw and Hughes were young but had runs on the board so to speak. I just think it would be setting him up to fail. If it were a series against WI or SL by all means
Love ya Pezza, great read
‘Jasmine first flowers in spring and our interest slowly blooms with it’ isn’t that a lovely thought! Nicely summed up again Sam.

Who knows whether Konstas plays. But of all the arguments against it, that he is too young or not ready is completely mental.

History says otherwise
